Caribbean Hold’Em Player Triggers Progressive Jackpot
We all dream of landing a Royal flush. That perfect combination of suited 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace is the top hand in all games that use standard poker rankings, so it pays top dollar. One lucky Bovada player experienced what it feels like to win a Royal flush over the weekend.
Jonathan B.’s game of choice was Caribbean Hold’Em. If you’re unfamiliar with it, Caribbean Hold’Em pits you against a dealer in a round of Texas Hold’Em. You drop an Ante bet, get dealt two cards, and see the flop. If you like your odds, raise by putting down a second bet that’s double your Ante. Then the final two community cards are revealed and your hand is compared with the dealer’s. If the dealer qualifies (needs at least a pair of Fours to qualify), and you have the better hand, you win.
The dealer didn’t have a chance when Jonathan received Ad10D, and the flop revealed KdJdQd, giving the Texas native a Royal flush. Fortunately, he tossed a dollar on the side Progressive Jackpot bet, earning him an extra $111,848 over top of the 100-1 payout. Overall, Jonathan pocketed $119,348. Well done.
